American’s New Mantra: I worked for it so you can’t have it. It belongs to me, and I want it all. Don’t punish me because I am more successful then you. The fact that you might be successful does not mean that you should forget those helped gain that success.
A new phrase My has developed in the healthcare debate by it the opponents of Healthcare reform. They use the phrase, “don’t punish success.” But, they don’t use this phrase only for Healthcare but every aspect of the life. What they don’t say, their success has come from some point of the general public.
Think about how a business becomes successful. People buying this business’s products make it profitable. These people who buy this business products come from all walks of life.
I would like expand this picture to look at the employees of the business. When this business prospers, so does the employees. So, now the prosperity of the employees depends on the people who buy the products.
With that said, so to who does that person owe their success? They owe it to the very people who buy their employer’s products. Now, let me propose this question.
What if one of this company’s customers had a set back, does not that employee have a responsibility to help this individual? One would think, but sadly it has become the opposite. One must remember that sometimes people must rely on Government help which comes from taxes.
When certain individuals have been force to pay their fare share in taxes, they cry that I made my money and it belongs all to me. They left one factor this equation, God. Not only have they been blessed by the people who support their, but they have also been bless by God, as well. He has put them in profitable companies, so now let us see what God has to say.
I love when Jesus said the love of mana(money) is the root of all evil. I have thought of every sin that greed could feed into, but for this argument, let us just look at selfishness. Jesus also commanded that you should do on to others, as you have other do unto you.. So, if some calamity came to you would not want help? I want to give you this story before I move on, and it comes from Luke 16 vs19-31.
I love how people opt out of their fare share taxes. Some people have legitimate taxes deductions while others refuse to pay their fare share at all. Remeber what Jesus said the religious leaders when questioned about taxes. He told them to render onto Ceasor what belongs to him and render onto God what belongs to Him. He never said not pay taxes. One must remember that our government leaders have appointed by God.
This brings me to the next point, but I would remiss to remind you that Paul told us to pay our taxes. Paul also said that we should pray for our Governmental Leaders that they would do they will do the will God. The last time that I heard any call for pray for any Governmental Leader, it came for prophets to pray for President Bush. I have yet to hear anyone calling for prays for President Obama. If you want good government start praying for all those above you. I don’t care if they be liberal, conservative, or independent. I would expand it also to law officials, emergency management, military leaders, religious leaders, and employers. We should pray for those who effect our life in this world.
I would like to end with this for those who lack. The Lord Jesus told us to pray to God for all your needs and He will answer our prayers according to His most perfect Will.
