A reflection of my thoughts.

Fresh ideas pop into ones head without a moments notice. Sometimes we are aware of them, pondering on the many facets of the idea. Weighing up the pros cons, considering the outcome of each pathway that leads from that idea. Others only just register with our consciousness, flitting like a butterfly on the horizons of our thought patterns. They may float away unnoticed if stronger thoughts vying for to be dealt with.

These ideas will not be totally lost just absent, waiting in the wings until they can claim center stage.

Some ideas are real light bulb moments, with fanfares and flashing lights accentuating their presence. Making you sit bolt upright exclaiming ‘That’s it’! Some people call these dreams, wishes or even luck. Whatever you name them they are yours to do with as you wish. The greatest hope is that they are used for a good purpose, without harming anyone, fauna or flora.

The saddest thing is that humans have been an innate ability to be selfish and thoughtless. Becoming embroiled in a self centered web using knowledge against others. Saddest of all is that they do not seem to learn from their actions or actions of others. Rather they grow in the wake of other people’s misfortunes and despair. Knowing they are alright.

However, are they really alright? Does this way of existing make them happy?

I would argue no, as the reason they behave this way is because they are not self fulfilled. They are still seeking gratification through ego boosting and power. To be centre stage makes them feel powerful and wise, as everyone is watching their performance alone. Others are just incidental.

Is knowledge really powerful? I would contest that is only powerful when it is shared. Power comes from a gathering of energies, pulled together by a common element. In this case the element is knowledge and the more people with the knowledge, whatever it may be, the more energy is generated. Giving power to the web connected by knowledge.

Having said all this sometimes it is not enough to just speak the knowledge, as when we listen we do not always hear everything. Often only hearing what we want to hear and dismissing the rest without a thought. We can be embroiled in our present way of thinking to such an extent that any contradiction can appear blasphemous. Keeping us caught in the constraints of conformity and control, not being able to exercise our right to free will. Fearing the consequences of thinking anything different.

Throughout history we can see evidence of this, with people being annihilated because they think differently to their leader, or to outsiders. Why is it so important we should all think the same? Is it not the ability of free will which makes us human? this gives us our individuality, setting us apart from others within whatever group we find ourselves in.

This does not mean we will be at odds with other members of that group. In fact it will help to strengthen the group, as we all have different skills and abilities. These come together to make the whole, complete the circle and begin the web.

Any knowledge gained by members is shared, giving strength to the group as a whole. This then enables them to deal with than having to rely on outside influences giving orders to be followed.

The ability to question and analyse the knowledge shared helps enhance the growth of the group, giving individuals safety to test ideas and skills without being directed by a leader.

So I thank this fresh idea for allowing me to wander through the thought process which led me to this conclusion.
