A couple of days a go a stranger i met online asked me “What is your favorite picture and why?”

My answer was this picture. It is my favorite of so many different reasons. First of all there is all the tech stuff. I sincerely think that it is in overall what most people would call a good picture. If i wasn’t the artist behind it and i saw it on random website i would still say “that is a pretty damn good picture”. I like the blue shadings, the focus and details in the front eye, the expression of the model. I just think it is that pretty god damn good. And there is good odds of this will be the most focused picture i will ever take.

But a less technical reason why i like it is the motive i self. I like how you can see that she haven’t plucked her eye-browns, and the fact that the only make-up she wears are some old leftovers around the eyes she haven’t yet removed. I think this give the picture a more natural feeling to it, instead of those there you just have the perfect model and the perfect pose in the most perfect setting.

But there is a final reason to why this is my number one favorite picture i have taken. You see this girl is a really close friend of mine, but we live a long way from each other so i rarely see her. In fact in the last year of friendship we have only manged to meet twice. This picture was taking the last rime she visited me, while we where just sitting in my bed and just playing around, and being silly, while we drank some cheap wine.

The picture reminds me of her friendship and what a important person she is to me. She is always there for me then i need someone to talk to, and always picks up her phone then i call her to talk or to cry out. She is the most kindhearted person you will ever meet and she will ever let you down.

So yeah, that it why i like this picture and i hope you will like it too. Now i will just sit back and look forward to the next time i have the chance to give her a hug.
