The Tiger has always been known as the king of the woods, being more popular than other wild animals like the lion, panther, snow leopard and the cheetah. Human beings can learn much from the traits of the tiger.

The tiger is one of the most well known wild animals of the world. It prefers a habitat that is in thickly forested parts of the world especially in the jungles of South and East Asia. Besides being famous amongst all wildlife, there are several traits of a tiger that human beings can learn from:

Power and energy – Being one of the largest animals weighing over 60 pounds and an average of 10 feet in length, it shows sheer power, personality and boundless energy. Its majestic strips stand out from the rest of the large animals belonging to the cat family like the lion, panther and cheetah.

Adaptability – The tiger is a great adapter amongst wild animals. It can be found in different parts of the world including the mountains and snow, showing that they can adapt to varied climatic conditions and landscapes.

Might is right – The tiger is a highly parochial animal, and can be very possessive of the claim to their area in the woods. It knows how to defend its territory against any invasion by other wild animals.

Popularity – Given the personality traits of the tiger, it is easily one of the most popular animals in the woods. In most surveys the tiger ranks second only to the dog in popularity. From names to emblems, magazines to films, the tiger features everywhere due to being so highly popular.

Respect and awe – The tiger is the undisputed king of the woods and due to this, it commands a lot of respect amongst wild animals as well as human beings. Little kids listen to stories of the tiger being told with great awe.

Art of camouflage – Camouflage comes naturally to the tiger along with the ability to merge with the surroundings while hunting for prey.  A tiger’s habitat always has good cover and is covered with dense vegetation.

Agility – With well developed shoulders and legs, the tiger is able to take on most of the animals in the jungle. They have the longest leap amongst all wild animals, covering 10 meters with each leap, making it easy for them to catch their prey. The tiger is also a good swimmer and can swim up to 4 miles at one time.

Skill – The tiger is naturally skilled in hunting in the wild. It uses the best and most favorable circumstances to hunt in the night. It is only when old tigers become weak that they turn into man eaters.

Coexistence- The tiger believes in coexistence with other hunting wild animals. An example is of the tiger’s coexistence with leopards – the tiger chooses to hunt during different timings than leopards.

Early beginner – A young tiger starts hunting early and can kill prey at just 11 months of age.

With so many positive traits that the tiger possesses man can learn a lot from this popular wild animal.

Once upon a time we have a president who believed in the tiger economy. The next thing I knew, he retired a tiger and our country remained a ratworld. You definitely crafted out an inspiring piece with this one.
