Brief description on the (lack of) importance in money.

You hear it in every B movie. “Time is money, friend”. “Hurry up, Time is money.” Why is time, which is always on the x axis, linked to money, on the y? Because with each passing minute, you could be earning money. Saying that, I picture three groups of people, each group with their own response to that statement. Group one is saying “Not true. To earn money, you must spend money, and with the rate of gas prices…” I honestly don’t care too much about Group one. Group two is saying “Oh really? How? Who should I call? Is there an eight week training program?” I don’t care much about Group two either. The Group I’m writing to is Group three; “Even so, what is money?”. Thank you, Group three. What is money? Money does not buy happiness. It said so on T.V. Here in America, the media is God. Group one argues and says that they have money, and that they are happy because of it. Group two thinks they need money to be happy. And Group three is reading this article because they know that money and happiness are two totally unrelated things. Sure, money can buy you things that entertain you. But watching the game on that 72 inch flat screen right now isn’t moving you any closer to total happiness. It’s just distracting you from things that make you unhappy. So, money buys distractions from unhappiness. Group one argues that not being unhappy is a double negative, pointing to happiness. Group two is trying to understand what Group one just said. Group three is wondering why I’m stating all of these obvious facts. You see, happiness is made from accomplishment, from moments spent with loved ones, from life. All these distractions are also distracting you from life. Why go to the movies on a date, when you could stay home and make dinner for two, so that you can actually talk and be with the one you love, instead of sitting next to them paying them no attention because that guy just turned into a wolf? Group one “Movies are so romantic though” Group two “Oh my gosh I love Twilight” Group three why is the author of this article making so many interruptions with the groups thoughts? Well, because I want to waste your time. Because time is money, and money doesn’t buy happiness.
