Learn how to tame these three beasts to suit your own lifestyles. Make them work for you, not the other way. This may be the road to your very own success.
Time, talent and opportunity. On the face of it, they stand for mere words, mere abstract words. But if we examine them closely, they are heavily interrelated and this trinity actually forms the very basis of our existence and growth in this world.
Time, the most dynamic of them all, the force that is always ticking, always in constant motion. Once gone, it never comes back. Why, this very second which I have taken to explain this to you, this moment is already the past. No advances in science or the most sophisticated invention can ever turn back the hands of time. So, given that, isn’t it a shame that we many a times fail to put it to good use? Something which may seem to be an absolutely harmless act could lead to much graver consequences. What could have been a clear path ahead could turn into a shadowy road filled with doubt. That is why time is of incredible importance, it can change the world as you know it in a blink of an eye. Every second has to be cherished to the fullest.
Moving on to opportunity. Though not as dynamic as time, it comes from the same family. Once lost, it never comes back. Interestingly, how one makes use of the given opportunities opens the door for many more to come. The opportunity may be subtle as they say a slight knock on the door and ones senses have to be tuned in order to recognize it. For example, we have been given the opportunity to live in the caring and supportive societies; we have been given the opportunity to work, study and play, carfree. How many of us recognize this opportunity knocking?
Talent is a quality that is inborn. Contrary to what some may think, this is actually present in each and every one of us. The nature and the degree of the talent vary but it definitely tells us who we are. For example, Sports, Academics, singing, dancing, these are just some of the talents in this world. It is up to us to recognize and build this talent.
Let us draw an analogy with a gardener, lovingly tending to his garden. Talent when tended to and nurtured with love and dedication gives fruits in abundance. Yes and the most precious and exotic ones indeed. However like a neglected garden, which shrivels and dies, talent too when neglected hibernates, withers and ultimately dies a slow but sure death. I see some questioning looks. So, where does time and opportunity step in with talent? Because friends, like sunlight and water for a garden, talent, like-wise will only blossom given the best and skillful use of the great master time and his sister, opportunity.
Thus we see that time, opportunity and talent never come back but if used wisely, they form the very basis of our existence. They form the very basis of our growth; they form the very basis of our very own success.
However, be warned that once gone, they never come back. So let us use this trio well. Let us use this raw power made available to us to its full potential. Harness it well; we will reach the pinnacle of our success. Friends, we have the sky as the limit let us reach for it. We can do it! Yes we can, and yes we will!
