The joy and sorrow of going home for Christmas…:)

Do you know what love is? The happiness of children opening their presents and their faces lighting up? It is Christmas morning and you are gathered around the Christmas tree. Children are excited, and you want them to open your gift, but yours comes next. The Santa gives you your present, and you look down, it is a tiny box with red wrapping. You tear the present open to see a small, black box. You open it with every bit of happiness and wondering, to see a silver heart necklace. Thee necklace has diamonds and an engraving on the necklace. Your face lit up and you give you mom a hug. You got something, and you watch as your present goes to your niece, and her face lights up when she sees a make-up kit. Happiness is all over the room, it is in the tree, in the cake, in the cookies, and in the presents. You give to get. With your family all around it makes you realize the truth in Christmas as you all come together to celebrate the birth of christ and the holiday of giving and receiving. When it is time to go home you miss everyone, but you hold on to the experience and are ready for lots more, and you may even take it with you in that heart necklace, and your niece may take hers home in that make-up kit, but we all really take it in our hearts. You say goodbye and promise to come back next year. Its time to go home for Christmas.
