Remembering a day that changed America.

Over 1,000 troops ran today in remembrance of 9/11, running 9.11 kilometers. Today’s remembering of those who died, took place at Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan. This is an act of defiance, against those who killed 51 of our American troops.
So many troops signed up or reenlisted, having this day in mind. Though some troops have forgotten this day, unsure if Bin Laden is even in Afghanistan. The memorial is set to take place starting when the first plane hit theTwin Tower. While so many troops have this in mind, Americans seem to be growing tired of this. Calling it unwinnable, not worth the cost of all the lives lost.
While stateside, many schools are going all out. Taking time to remember those who died. At Minnesota Prep, veterans get free admission, color guard from every branch will march onto the field, and each branches song will be played. In Ohio, there will be a red, white and blue ribbon on both ends of the field. They just want to remind people about what we are doing over there, for many this is an emotional time. Something to be thankful for, that comes with such a high cost. Support is what has been need from the beginning, yet so many have been left to deal with their sadness alone.
To many, this war is a waste of time, money, and lives. To others, they understand what they do and what they are doing it, their reasons are their own. Freedom is never free, but our troops do not have a say in what they have to do. It is their job, they deserve support, even if you do not support the war. They should have always had our support, yet, so many had none. These men and women are selfless, loyal, and have courage, honor, and respect for something bigger then themselves.
