Am I too old to to dress up and go door to door asking for candy?

Can one ever be too old to go trick-or-treating? Some may say that there is an age limit and once you’re past it, you shouldn’t be dressing up, going door to door asking for candy. People often put this age limit at 16. But why shouldn’t someone older enjoy it as well? If you’re having fun and not breaking any laws there really shouldn’t be any age limit to such a widely celebrated holiday.

I’m 22 and I still trick-or-treat with friends my age and older. So don’t get upset that when you open the door and there is an adult standing there in costume asking for candy. Halloween is for everyone of all ages.

I agree. I don’t see anything wrong with adults trick or treating. Even though I don’t do it anymore. I was a deprived child. My parents always thought that Halloween was evil, and I was not allowed to go trick or treating. I didn’t get to for the first time until I was twelve. I enjoyed it so much I did it until I was eighteen. Now I’m thirty-seven and enjoy giving out candy. I dress up as well, so when I answer the door the parents of the kids will tell me “Maybe we should be giving you some candy.” Nice article.

I semi-agree. If you’re like I was on Halloween. I would just throw a basketball jersey on and collect candy for a few hours. I’d say give it up like I did. But, if you get into it and dress up with preparation I say get doing what makes you happy. I enjoyed the article.

Thanks for your comments! I agree with you all. I don’t see anything wrong with adults trick or treating if they really get into it… I went this last Halloween with my 7 year old sister and I’m 22… I got some odd looks but it was still fun nonetheless.
