Toulmin models for the allegory of the cave

Because the eye is unable to turn from darkness to light without the whole body, therefore someone must be willing to struggle to gain a wider knowledge of being and reach the good, since knowledge can only be gained from the movement of the whole soul.

Because order can only be obtained through striving for better rulers in the future, therefore wisdom and virtue are the true blessings of life, since the education of our future rulers is essential.
