…. love lost by a myriad of small things, the looks, lookings-away … like wearing down layers of laquer on a tray.

Have you found love? Then you have found the greatest treasure humans can ever have. But be aware, take care of your treasure, nurture it to grow with awareness of its value. Cherish your love. Or you will lose it in the way this prose describes, moment by moment over the years. And then it will be too late. Take this to your heart and you will be rewarded with lasting love that is truly the greatest treasure.

Loss ……………
By inches, by small daily motions
& each one of the myriad motions,
looks, lookings-away, absences, angers
placations and desires ………..
Sealing each other away
As layers of laquer seal
The painted bird
On a japanned tray.

Another thought on love:
“Love, almost by definition, creates a need
where none existed before”
