Writing your best and making the most of your mind into it.

When we began writing, our ideas started from trickles, tidbits and nuggets, three words that convey almost the same meaning giving us an idea of some little piece of something.  We knew we are on the right track (we should be the first to believe on ourselves before somebody does) or else each of us would have ended any attempt at writing in the first place. Everyone of us may have established a safe place at home where we keep our precious things and “secrets” (we maybe aware of our talent but still quite shy to let others read them). It maybe a drawer, a book shelf or just a plain cabinet where we have stowed our notebooks filled with poetry and life journals. Without much thinking our lives go on as we slid that cabinet or drawer open once in a while to fill in the pages whenever we have something interesting to write until that day came.

We opened up the computer and out from surfing on the net we caught an ad which got our attention. It reads, “Triond gives you a complete publishing experience. We publish your work on relevant sites, so you reach a wider audience, gain more recognition and earn more revenue.” We fumbled our fingers on the keyboard rather excited and signed up in a flash. Have we already forgotten how it all began until we forgot filling up our notebooks kept on the drawer? Yes, we were all writing and finally made those inked notes on paper published online reading them at the screen of our desktop at home or on our laptop when we are on the move. We made to reach a wider audience and gained quite a recognition (whenever we desired to be recognized). About, the revenue, well we just have to look at it on the positive side. We invested with our time, effort and talent as Triond offered a niche to market it free of charge. We may think of getting trickles, tidbits and nuggets but that’s the way it goes. Choices, if we should think otherwise we could always fall back to scribble notes on the pages of a discarded notebook on our drawer and close the computer screen forever.

I just write for the pleasure of it and if it brings pleasure to others too then I am happy. I am so glad I have found somewhere to publish even if earnings trickle in very slowly. A very interesting and well written piece.

I write what’s on my mind. Some of them could be mean… so sorry guys. But I believe in the freedom of speech, I mean writing.

I to just write , not even thinking that one would be interesting in any thing I have to say, and for that I get some cents in my pocket, who would have ever thought that.

I have boxes full of diaries and journals Will…they mean so much to me…I think I’d be crushed if I ever lost them…hehehe…and I’m hooked on Triond…so no chance of ever leaving. I have posted poetry in the forum from some of my diaries…the same poems have been published offline but I prefer to remain anonymous :-)

I agree with you Will. I chose to use Triond and other sites and I am proud to be published by them! I can’t spell, so I don’t want to go back to note books and pens!

Excellent piece. Liked the part about where notebooks, diaries and such are stored. Now I’ve got to find a new place to hide my little black book.
