A Community That Works Together Benefits Together!
I have been a member of Triond for some months now but only recently received my first fans & my first comments! I don’t know about you but I like getting new comments & fans, no guilt intended lol. When I wrote my first set of articles I was kind of disappointed because I got neither fan or comments. As a matter of fact all I could think of was that message on my dashboard “Wow, No ones read your articles” I don’t know if that little message was meant to encourage or depress me I can only say I wasn’t encouraged.
The good news was that happy days were around the corner. For me when I get comments or fans its more than just racking up those fraction of pennies for me it means a little more. You see the way I see it when someone takes the time to leave a comment . . . good or bad that also means they took the time to read my article. Something in my writing caused them to want give their opinion.
That’s important when you think about the thousands of articles out there. When someone becomes a fan its an added bonus because something in my writing caused them to want to hear more from me. There was something that appealed to them which for me means mission accomplished.
It’s like standing in a train station full of people where you & fifty other guys are selling souvenirs, what makes you the one guy people decide to buy from? What makes you so special? What did you do different? I don’t know but I like being that guy & I am sure you do too.
After my first comments I started thinking about those good feelings I got & remembered the disappointed ones as well. So below are a set of Common Courtesy suggestions I believe would benefit all Triond members. if I am not mistaken most of us are here because we like to write I mean let be honest I don’t think Triond is going to make anyone rich anytime soon. In any case these are only suggestions & ideas feel free to add, agree, disagree just make sure you leave a comment, just joking!
1) Be good to your fans. If they took the time to be your fan reward them with read some of their articles.
2) If you took the time to read an article please take a few moments to click the “Liked it” button if you liked it & maybe a few seconds more to leave a comment.
3) If you leave comments be nice & constructive after all we are all in the same boat. Remember the water you throw in someones boat could be the same one your in.
4) If you read an article & notice the information in it may not be accurate, don’t call them out for all the world to see. Again leave contructive comments or perhaps send a private message to them.
5) If you take time to leave comments & be fans but don’t get the same from those same people don’t worry we will Black List them . . . Nooooo not really that was another joke! No simply remove your fanship & comments from their articles if possible & focus your efforts on those fans & member who do appreciate your time.
6) Be honest & fair in your comments after all the best writers are those who welcome constructive criticism. The key word being constructive. We are not all professional writers but that doesn’t mean shouldn’t be professional.
7) Don’t be afraid to offer helpful tips, links, resources & guidance to fellow members or fans. Helping others will help raise the bar in the quality of work this site puts out which in turn will bring more readers to this site. A Community That Works Together Benefits Together.
Thanks for taking the time to read my article I hope you have enjoyed it. Until my next posting God bless.
