What is the difference between “Truth or Consequences” and “Truth and Consequences”? The article will tell you the distinction.

One day  as I was going back home after  a long one year of work to  avail of the yearly vacation I  have,  I met  one of my long lost friend  in the international airport  where we were both waiting for the  time to go in for the checking and boarding. He happened to be somehow a bit upset of the reality of life he has about the amount of pain that enter his life.  I will not tell it here the details of his story for some of my friends are going to read this and to protect the person, it is better to make him anonymous. But we can learn from his story.

I will just share to you a story that is similar to my friend’s experience so that we can learn from the wisdom of life from this story.  A pastor one day met a guy in an international airport also where they were both nursing their frustration with air travel. They spent most of the day waiting for planes that were never arrived, so they had plenty of time for conversations. The  guy  happened to be spitting  mad  at God for allowing  what he though  trials  and circumstances  he can’t carry. Since the pastor had plenty of time he said to the guy, “Why don’t you tell me your life story?” The guy was glad to oblige the pastor by unloading his self-pitying saga. What the guy had not counted on was the pastor is listening as closely as he can.

When the guy finished  complaining and indicting  God for everything that had gone  wrong in his life  which is exactly similar as to my friend’s experience,  the pastor said, “Wow, that is quite a story, but the pastor said, could  I ask  you a couple of questions? You said your former wife turned into a horrible, evil person. I wonder what your relationship with her was like before she turned evil. How did you treat her? Were you faithful to her? Or did you, perhaps, do some stupid things that might have added a little bit to the demise of your marriage? He admitted that he had done a few stupid things.

Thanks for the share. I know of someone who is going thru the same and makes me wonder why they are incapable of realizing the consequences of their actions.

    Good post!

I really felt the message of the story.

Sometimes, even if we repent and say we are sorry, we are not exempted from the consequences of our actions. The good thing is, though we have to suffer the consequences, there is peace in knowing we have a God of second chances. A great sharing!

good post! This is something we should all learn from. It\’s the enemy to good human nature to forget about consequence until we are in trouble…and that is why God is so important!

Sometimes even if we have done good some people will do us bad things, but it’s their problem anymore. It is not good condemning God for all the bad things happening in our life. Why? have we think of him during our ups? Life is what we make it as they said and we always have a choice. Nice share, well done.
