Jackie Chan is his funny, agile self! Well thought out screenplay.
This was another movie that I feel took the poorly acted Chinese movies into the movies we have today like Crouching tiger hidden dragon, and Kung Fu hustle. Jackie Chan’s humour, along with his sheer martial arts genius help him jump through cars and allow him to do so many other stunts that you wouldn’t normally see leading actors today partake in.
Yes the acting is still poor, and yes I am sure those who are only used to the modern martial arts movies like kung fu hustle may think how the hell did someone even in the early ninety’s are able not to make this movie so much more better ? BUT in asking that to themselves I feel Jackie Chan’s personality, charisma, and amazing ability to pull of the stunts, and choreography in the fight scenes I feel should be good enough to hold peoples attention.
Anyone going into a Jackie Chan movie should not think it is going to be a totally serious movie, it will never be !! I have never seen a Chan movie without some sort of comedy. His rush hour movies are now the modern version of this movie, and will go to show how far the quality of acting has improved in comparison to this movie.
This movie has a lot of fun, action, and of course seeming it has two Chan’s so double the love interest! The acting might not be that good, but the actual screenplay is actually well thought out, and if it wasn’t then I am sure that it would be a badly acted out love story.
So if you need some fun action scenes with your love interest in your movie I am sure you will enjoy this. Both brothers are quick to like one another, and every time each one of the moved the other one did. This happened more often the closer they got to each other.
One brother a mechanic, the other a professional piano player. One can fight the other can’t! A mix up occurs when each love interest gets confused as to which one is which, and why they are acting so strange, when really they’re not they’re just the other twin !! So if you want your brain to keep entertained all the way through a movie than this one should keep your attention enough so that you shouldn’t get bored.
