I am so sick and tired of people that works in high position takes advantage of their job. I have this friend that i have known for sometime now, she’s been living in the country for 10yrs and decided that she needed to do the Life in the Uk test, she had prepared herself for it and went and did the test and she past.

Upon receiving her notification letter to say when her cermony date will be she notice that her name had been spelt wron, she rang up the person that had issued the letter and told them of the error, they adviced her to go to the cermony has planned and then sent off the certificate to get it changed.

She went to the ceremony as planned and once she received the information pack they advise her to write a letter to explain what was the error and to sent her passport off she didn’t realised she was meant to send off the certificate back with the letter and her passport, after not hearing back from the UK border agency for about 3 weeks sh rang to find out what had been happening, she was told, that she needed to send the certificate off as well, and she spoken to as though she was some form of an animal, she said ok thank you and have a good day,

A few days after calling the agency she received a call from a family member to say that one of her uncle had past, she was deeply upset and wanted to go to the funeral, so she rang the agency back once more and ask for her passport to be returned to her because she wanted to attend the funeral and she also needed to take her passport to the high commission in order to get a travel document as hr passport had been expired, the gentleman she spoke with said that this would take 10 days for her passport to be returned to her and she ask why so long because she had paid for it to be returned to her via recorded delivery which would get to her the next day if it was posted on a week day, she gentleman didn’t say anything and she just said ok and hanged up.

10 days has came and past and still no passport, she rang once more and got a female this time, she asked what had happened to her passport, because it had been requested to be sent back to, th lady just said to her, that they had requested for it to be sent out on the 1st June 2009 and she can’t go through to the department that should have sent it out because they have all gone home now.

she had explained why she need the passport and th woman was so rude to her, she started crying on the phone and that’s when she knew that she wouldn’t be going to her uncle funeral and she wasn’t able to be there for her dad, as it’s the 2nd brother that her dad had lost and had to buried, she was in tears for days but the agency didn’t care.

on 25th June 2009 she received back her passport and had notice that the envolped that she had paid postage for her documents to be returned in was the same envloped that they had sent back her documents is, what made her even more angry was the fact the the documents was posted on the 24th June 2009 the day before she received it.
Now she don’t know what to do because she wants to take legal action but she doesn’t know where to start.

Why is it the because you see that you are in a position where people ned your help you can abused that position and treat people how you like, what you need to realise is that what goes around comes around, it might not get at you but it will get to a family memeber or someone that you love and care about.

If you are in a position help, then help the person, you do not know their story, nor o they know yours, don’t abused your position and do not hurt people feelings because it makes you feel better.
