A close examination about the act of blogging and what more we could expect.

Most things in life started out with a good purpose in it. If this good purpose had been carried on till the end of the action with the intentions unchanged, it becomes virtuous.  A virtuous act which had been pursued with enthusiasm to be repeated all over again becomes a cycle and when it does, we may call it a virtuous cycle which is unlikely to happen. Why? Because our tendencies as human beings only tend to show the good part of things at the very beginning, all the good things however gets consumed along the way and evolves the other way in the end.

Taking politics into consideration, we may be familiar with every new faces showing up for public attention before any electoral proceedings, all that sweet talk and call for ultimate change isn’t an old thing. It takes just a little while, allowing this new face to take the seat of authority and he wakes up into a new realization of himself beaming with power and influence that he may never be aware until he submits himself into the fold of wretched egos who prey on their fellow human beings. That crucial twist when this ideal political leader assumes the wisdom of the old dictators who could order for the extermination of a thousand innocents without guilt in the excuse of world peace is very typical. In most cases there maybe no actual killing but the burden of paying your tax as a common citizen shows. A vicious cycle is what typically results when a virtuous act fails to complete its goal and replicate the process. When we see the governments of the world declaring war in pursuit of world peace assuming that all peaceful alternatives had proven ineffective to address the issue, we are simply seeing the phenomenon. Eversince the dawn of history, our kind had been killing their own to make way for their intentions and it is not uncommon that we still see it today.

What I am merely trying to show is that I’m not really willing to make a killing to keep myself blogging but in the end, I maybe killing myself (slowly) to keep on posting. It is however true that I don’t have a hundred years lease in my life if I decide to stop blogging but in most cases our situation of putting too much strain on our eyes and staying late on the computer may not even be enough to pay for laser surgery when our eye lens lose the focus. But then again blogging is nice and it is virtually an excellent means of expressing our thoughts and relate to fellow writers once in a while. Our basic intention is good and I suppose Triond’s intentions show they care (as I had been sent an email to come up with something to write) but in the course of all these efforts on our part and that of Triond we can’t deny the consequence to be either  virtuous or vicious. Have your stand and keep it to yourself.

Loving and killing should not be on the same page but it does really sound like it. Probably to love blogging to death is a better way to explain it..^–^

Oh, you don’t want us to comment…..?

It just amuses me that sometimes we have to let some good efforts pass out in time before getting rewarded, Sharif. If you remember LJ, she didn’t actually died blogging but she may have smiled a bit before she ended touching her computer keys.

My wife is more addicted to the computer than I am and finally started her own Blog, mind you she is also better suited for it than I,and I hope she can earn enough to make it worth her while.

Aw… come on Will. You are earning a lot at Factoidz, I think. Well as they say words are cheap, then again, the world needs us. Writers are the links of the past and of the future. And the hell with soooo little pay. We enjoy what we do :)

Triond is a business. It’s interested in one thing. Making money. The more we write the more money Triond makes.

I couldn’t agree more with Guy. Thanks for the comments everyone, that’s what I may call virtuosity in all of these vicious schemes.

If only the pursuit in writing paid better for quality material. That is not what sells well, so the other still reigns. Interesting article. You do have quality material in many facets of writing.Thank you.

Some interesting views here. Good share!

This was a very interesting article. I agree with the others. It really is too bad that good, quality writing does not give the reward as some of the other articles that make a lot of money.

Great post and it made me feel sad because I feel I’m getting into the vicious cycle. I become addicted, can’t spend a day without checking in, replying to comments people left on my posts, commenting on the posts of others. And I’m trying to figure how to manage the numerous friends I’ve got and not skip any valuable post… And I’m definitely not sure it is worth the money I make here FOR THE TIME BEING (hope it will change in the future). Thanks for this thought provoking piece.
