Flexibility in our life is our choice. We are creators.
The alarm wakes me at 6am.
I am tired sore and unwell and It seems like I haven’t slept at all. I hit the snooze button and roll over thinking to myself that I cannot possibly getup.
Twenty minutes later the alarm sounds again and I hit the button again thinking I should stay in bed today however this time as I once again settle I allow myself to believe that I will be alright once I am up and about and if I need to come home that is fine.
So I get up and ready myself and leave for work still feeling sorry and sore but open to whatever comes up. By half way through the day I realize that I was no longer in that same space that I was when the alarm went off this morning.”
Hey wasn’t feeling terrific but still managed to achieve what I needed to do”.
I had changed my state of consciousness from I cant, to I can with moderation and the possibility of revaluation of my needs. By allowing myself the opportunity to be flexible in my decision, it lessened the hold that the spectre of illness had over my waking state. If I didn’t trust that I was capable of changing my mind about the need to push past what my body was wanting then I would not have allowed myself out of bed.
This reminds me that this is true about all aspects of life. If we do not allow ourselves the possibility of flexibility in our decisions , our thinking and task management. There is a good chance that many doorways and experiences will remain unexplored.
Flexibility means that we do not have to be perfect, which is only a perception anyway. We can allow ourselves to change our mind. Recreate our experience. There are no wrongs ,only what is right for the individual creator of the moment.
The ability to change our mind due to our personal needs with consideration for those who participate in our creation, is what sets us aside within the animal race.
We do not need to live our lives by programmed socio/political structures, no matter what has been ingrained into our pschy since before our birth.
We are free thinking creators, world builders and destroyers with the responsibility to change our way when the doctrine we are following does not sit well within our being.
There is a well known statement which comes to mind.
“To continuously repeat and action exactly the same way and expect a different outcome is insane”
Inflexible rules and doctrine surely creates an insane world.
