This is about a Native American Spirit Guide who came to teach me a valuable lesson about embracing the moment.

Walking with Beauty in Our Hearts
One day when I was meditating I went to that place within. I had a vision and in my vision, I went to a river to sit upon its bank.
I sat there watching the water flow. As I watched, I felt myself being drawn to the rushing water. For a moment, it was as if I had become a part of the river and I too was rushing forth with the current.
Across the river, on the bank he appeared. He was a Native American Spirit Guide, an ancestor.
He said to me, “The River rushes forth. It never stops to wait for you. Your life also rushes forth. Do not wait for your life to begin. Live your life today. Embrace what is now. It is a beautiful time. There is always beauty, embrace the beauty. Walk with beauty in your heart.”
The message that he brought to me that day is a message that I will never forget, a message that I will carry with me always.
This message reminds me to always embrace what is before me right now, it reminds me to not waste one moment of my life. It teaches me that I must not hold back. I must live my life to the fullest; I must embrace my feelings and what is within my heart.
If I feel something, I must express it. What if this is the only chance that I am given to speak these feelings? If someone has touched my heart and I do not tell them this, what if tomorrow they are gone and they will never know the gift that I have received from them.
It teaches me that if I am overcome with joy, then I must embrace that joy. If I come upon a beautiful flower, then I must take a moment to let its beauty reach out to me and bring a smile to my face. If I hear the singing of a bird and the sound is calling out to me, then I must take a moment and let the song of that bird reach into my heart and fill me with the joy of its beauty.
