Both my positive, and negative feedback on the current Walmart in Palm Coast,Florida.

I have been in Palm Coast, Florida for a little over two years now, and do seventy five percent of the Walmart in Palm Coast. It sure is an adventure regardless of what time of day you go.

I have heard from a fair few people in Walmart that they just hate going into the Palm Coast Walmart, and only do because it is the cheapest place, or the nearest bigger grocery store to them. I understand their comments, and at times I wish I didn’t have to, but if I have time to spare to wonder round, then Walmart is the best grocery store in the centre OF Palm Coast, only being beaten by the much cleaner, and nicer looking Target which is another ten or fifteen minutes form our side of Palm Coast.

It has its electronics section, mechanics centre, bikes, toys.clothes, pets, and food section. It also has a health and beauty section next to the pharmacy which of course has a wide variety of medicines for $4.00. It all boasts a book section, linen, and a small trading card section which our son loves. It also has a garden centre.

You can walk around at the late hours into the early morning hours with not that much hassle, unless some of the staff are cleaning the floors, or are stocking the shelves. The remedy for this is to ask the staff to find something for you in the aisle if you cannot get through, and if they are stacking then there are staff around. I must admit the Palm Coast Walmart has staff walking around somewhere nearby when I go in, but on the rare occasion not so, but more often than not. I find ninety five percent of the food etc are stocked well, but the other five percent could be a long time coming of which has been a problem for my family. You do need to pick yout times well to go shopping in Walmart, because from about four, or five in the evening it can get pretty crazy. The best time to go to the Palm Coast Walmart is most probably around six to eight in the morning, then after that it get busier with the older customers decide to descend on Walmart.

The only real complaint I have about the Palm Coast Walmart is that it has birds flying around the store. I have never Witnessed this in any store in any country, and it not done anything about it. I am from England, and this would be a major concern for customers in the like of Tesco, or Asda (Walmart own Asda). I have also seen flies in the bakery section on the doughnuts, and other pastires. I wasn’t to happy about this. The plum tomatoes are always soft, and almost ready to grow mould, and are much more exspensive than the Tomatoes in target, which are always fresh when I go to Target.

One of the people who works as a welcome host at the front of the entrances is really nice, I keep forgetting her name, but she is of native Indian heritage, and I would like to thank her on here for being such a nice member of staf, as she does her job very well, and makes sure she talks to us everytime we come in when she is there. I will make more effort to remember her name after I see her next.

My wife hates Walmart, but I love it because I like to take the time to walk round, and make an adventure of it. Looking for deals, and roll backs. The toy section in Palm Coast always had a good selection of clearance toys, or it does when I go in, which is a good thing for our son to spend his money on if he wants a toy at the current time.

All in all if the big heads at Walmart get rid of the flies, and birds, and keep the store a little cleaner then it could be great instead of good. Also keeping more staff on the cash tills in busy times. One more thing to point out is I wish they waould re-surface the car park, they have filled all the cracks in, and it looks horrible.
