Every student always wanted to the first.
Not Even One Third
Most of my students hated Mathematics. Almost one half of my students get not even one third of the perfect score, during the exam. I innovated teaching strategies to make my students understood and the lesson easy. With my dismay my labor didn’t work out.
The final exam had come. I entered the room, with chairs arrange far apart. My class was so quiet and everybody seems studying their Math lesson. Giving them some instructions on what to do with their test questionnaire. My exam is by set, so no one can copy from seatmate.
“A” Student
There was a student who could hardly have a clue on what to do with his exam. The test was 100 items, an easy to answer multiple choice, with four options to choose. For his own reasons he decided to play game of his answer. Choosing all letter ” A” as his answers. The next day, I had checked the test papers. I purposely not to return his test paper, and told him to see me in the office after the class.
After the class he surely meet me in my office. I handed him his test paper. All with red “X” on it. In which among the choices no “A” as a correct answer. Then, I asked him, Why his choice answers are all letter “A”? Can you explain to me why?
He become startled, aware that he has nothing to do any more. Trying to clear out his throat… he answer in a low voice – sorry – Doctor, You know I have been wanting to be an “A” student for so long.
