Someone said that to me yesterday. My response was that I quit making wishes a long time ago.
I think that as I have grown older and hopefully wiser I have realized that there is no point in wishing for something that I don’t have any control over.
If it is something that I do have control over, I make goals and not wishes.
If something goes the way I would prefer then I am happy, but I am also prepared to deal with whatever situation I am presented. When that does happen I feel very fortunate and often consider purchasing a lottery ticket because luck seems to be on my side.
Goals though are an entirely different thing.
Set goals.
Work hard.
See results!
When those results are monetary or improve the quality of your life, there is no greater satisfaction.
And, don’t ever let anyone tell you that the following statement is hogwash or phooey.
HARD WORK EQUALS SUCCESS!
Don’t get me wrong, wishes are good. It is healthy to dream, and that is where most goals come from.
So, the next time you see a rainbow, make a wish! But, know that some hard work will influence the realization of that wish.
