WTF Could She Say to the Fantastic Foolybear?

What would happen if they found out?  What believable excuse could get them off my tail?  More importantly, what could she say to the fantastic foolybear?  In “WHAT COULD SHE SAY TO THE FANTASTIC FOOLYBEAR”, Lawrence Ferlinghetti encapsulates the memory and emotions expressed by a young teenaged girl, who for the first time, has explored her sexuality.  Ferlinghetti uses tactile and organic imagery together to bring the reader to the location of such naughty happenings.  You can feel the lolly flowers below you through your bare feet, while getting beamed by the hot sun, on the riverbank.  One can say this was not a particularly enjoyable experience, as the poem takes a sharp downward turn where birds threw themselves from trees and ferns fall away.  The visual imagery really captures how disturbed this poor girl who was once so innocent may feel now.  She better find some crazy story that she could tell everyone, especially if there’s evidence of the act.
