In the many facades that we carry of ourselves, do we lose touch with the real persona that we actually are?

A hard working executive going through the drills of office routine, or a loving husband babysitting a newborn in the absence of his spouse. An aspiring youngster believing in the power of miracles, or a caring son wiping dust off mother’s feet. A harrowed Daddy taking his kids for a ride on shoulders, or a patient father answering endless queries of his little children. A passionate individual always worried about poor people’s plight, or a business man contemplating about the next best investment, or a family guy out on a holiday with family.

It is amazing, how many endless number of facades we carry in our lives. We are something for a moment, and then we turn into something else, the other. It is probably a way of life, of showing our sides which people expect us to show them. We are actually people’s puppets, doing what they want and being how they want. It is a social facade that keeps changing with the kind of people that we come across during the course of our lives.

But the irony of this make-belief world is, that amidst these many facades, do we loose touch with the real one that we actually are? Or rather, we never come to know or realize what we actually are inside. Although, it is true that the social garb is a necessity for all of us, but we must also not forget the real persona that we are from the inside.

Those who are able to do this, make a mark and rise above the ordinary. They know how to sway to the gushes of the blowing wind, but they also not forget the roots which constitute the basic building blocks of their foundation.

Vow! It is good to see people writing so unselfishly about their own world.
