I have always enjoyed reading I love books and the escape they bring. Reading is an excellent way of learning about new things. Even in fiction you learn about different walks of life.

I used to be teased for always carrying novels with me. I would be called names for enjoying reading. People would call me a bookworm. At first, this would upset me, then I began to say to myself “what is wrong with being a bookworm”?

There is a wealth of knowledge in the world of books. You can sail through the world without leaving your home through the pages of books.

Even these days I prefer reading to watching television. I know several books are made into movies, yet as a rule I prefer the books. The only books that I think are close to the movies are the Harry Potter series.

Even my son asks me why I like to read. He is of more of the visual era I think.

I really do not have a favorite genre I tend to like fantasy, westerns, biographies, paranormal and much more.

What is wrong with being a bookworm? Nothing.
