The media has become an embodiment of pains.  Have you wondered why there’ll always be news even when all looks calm and easy?  How does the news sound? Its always the same pattern bad news!

The more we listen to/view or read the news, the more sad we become and sometimes I have to wonder if there is anything like good news, cant we just get positive news from the media even if it is for once?  Just like the rapper (Twista) put it “I wish that we see good news when next we look at CNN”.   From local to international media houses, they have same pattern and similar trend, its either deaths, violence, crime and disasters of all sorts or nothing else, that’s just how the news look like.  I agree with the fact that sometimes they do broadcast political news that might be a little bit positive (if you like) but somehow they tend to blow out of proportion the little dire “stuffs” associated with the politics of the day.

Its either hurricane, violence, street fight, serial killers and similar trend, they hardly or never broadcast the work of charity organizations whose activities are usually laudable, how about the work of charity organizations even in a conflict or disaster (natural or otherwise)? They are just minimally broadcasted, the dangers, death and disasters are amplified terribly and wao! That’s great, everyone watching will start, then what?

Maybe the bad news sell much more than the good news, that’s really true, but is it what sells that matter or what orientate and reorganize the psychological dealings of human?  These days entertainment has become somewhat the reigning thing and academic excellence is of now no importance, all these happen to be the handiwork of the media of the day.  The media rules, at least they put people in shackles and bondage to hazardous contents, most times you are glued to a particular station and as such they control what you know, viz they feed you with bad news.  Nowadays armed robbers need no orientation or training, they just watch the action as it is reported in the media and they are good to go.
