What will people remember you for?
Have you ever thought about death? It’s daunting and a pretty scary thought don’t you agree? Did you know that is also when a close one or ones will state their opinion of you? How many funerals have you attended where people talk about how much money the newly deceased accumulated? I haven’t gone to one either. When Bill Gates dies are people going to go into depth about how much he loved his money or the cause he supported?
I think about my eulogy all the time. What will my children remind people of? More importantly what do I want them to remember? I want them to remember how I loved laughing and practiced my faith. Do I portray what I want them to mention? More importantly do you act as if your eulogy was going to be written tomorrow? It is my understanding that practicing your flaws makes your positive attributes dwindle and eventually will need as much practice as your flaws! Use your strengths to your benefit and give a positive legacy.
Have you considered your eulogy recently? What type of legacy do you want others to remember about you? You need to focus on that thought for a little while.
