There are still families hoping for a miracle, that their love one will walk through that door.
On 9/11 at 9:20 in the morning the world we knew was about to change; terrorism was going to invading our country and things would change indefinitely. We all remember that morning, the sirens of police cars, fire trucks and ambulances, people running to the World Trade Centers, or the Pentagon, while other ran away. They talked about the planes and how the building collapses, but what about the families that lost a loved one. Many of these families they sat in disbelief, especially if their loved one worked in the building or around the area. They could not image that it could be the one they loved in those building.
Families ran to the crash scenes looking for family, looking for some sign that their family member may have survived. Some spent days looking, putting up posters and photos in the hope that just maybe they would find their father, or son; mother or daughter.
It was very disturbing since when the buildings in New York collapsed bodies were incinerated, or crushed beyond recognition. In the beginning they found a few survivors, as time when on they found bodies, but after a few days there were only body parts to identify bodies, if that. There are still many families that live hoping that by some strange miracle that their love one would walk through the door. They have not had closure, without any remains, there is nothing they can hold, see or touch; seeing is, believing.
. They could not bear to face reality that the one they loved would not be coming home. The people in those building were mothers and father, aunt and uncle, grandparent or children, whose life was cut short before its time.
For these people their lives and their country was destroyed.
These people want accountability; they want to see those involved punished; brought to justice. The Presidents past, present and future need to make sure that this never happens again, to our country or to a family. We must never put our guard down, because we never know what the future holds. We don’t know if something so horrific will happen again, so always tell those you love, how much you love and appreciate them since you never know if you will have a chance again.
