Here is my online autobiography so that you can all learn a little more about me.
carolscash is a writer who enjoys sharing her hobby farm online with her friends, but who is she really? This article is going to be my online autobiography and I hope that I can share who I am with all of you.
I am a wife, mother, teacher, online article writer, friend, daughter, taxi driver, household manager, and hold many other titles in a day. I enjoy reading, horseback riding, spending time with my children and my husband, enjoy horse drawn buggy rides, writing, being with my friends, and camping.
I like to travel and enjoy visiting family in Virginia and Tennessee. I lived in Kingsport, Tennessee before moving back to Indiana. I loved living in Tennessee and hope to move back at some point in my life. I have lived several places in Indiana, but now live in a small town in Indiana where the trees are beautiful and we are able to own our horses and ride our four-wheelers and raise our other animals.
I have held several jobs outside the home, but currently I am attempting to work from home. I enjoy being an at home mom and I do not miss the stress that came from work. I have held management jobs in retail, worked in a library, worked in a few restaurants, and a grocery store, None of those jobs have validated me as to the person that I am, but writing seems to be my validation. I am hoping to further my career to writing for some other industries before long.
I have home schooled for 6 years, even while working. I have enjoyed every step of the journey although the frustrations can be high at times. I enjoy being with my children and watching them grow and learn. We have struggled with learning disabilities and struggled with teaching things that I do not know a lot about, even helped teach my oldest daughter some Spanish, even though I never studied a foreign language in school. It has been a journey that has brought tears and smiles, but plenty of joy! It is a journey that I intend to keep following as long as my daughter is able to learn from me and I enjoy teaching her or until she graduates.
We live on a small hobby farm where we have about 20 acres that we can do so much with. We enjoy having our horses, chickens, ducks, turkeys, cats, dogs, rabbits, and guineas roaming around. We have two baby horses- one is a filly that will soon be a year old and her name is Vanilla Sundae and we have a new almost 2 week old colt that we have not named as we don’t believe that we will keep him. Both are beautiful and both have brought joy and a learning experience to our lives. The beauty of the area and our animals showcases the wonders that God has given us! We sell eggs and we raise a little food for ourselves and are hoping next year to be a lot more self sufficient than we have in the past.
I have been married for over 16 years to my husband and we have three children. His son and my oldest daughter (whom he has adopted) are both almost 21 years old and are very different children, but we love them so much. Our youngest is 14 and she is my challenge and my source of fun. You just never know what she is going to do next and it makes life interesting.
We have two dogs – Snickers and Daisy. Snickers is a miniature dachshund and Daisy is just a stray that found her way here. We have two cats – Oreo and Prince. Both are black and white and are very good outdoor cats. We have 10-20 horses most times and we enjoy them greatly. We ride and drive them often and enjoy camping with them.
I have several great friends and I enjoy the time I get with them. I also have several home school moms that I am friends with and enjoy the time we spend together as well. I feel that the friends that we have teach us a lot if we allow them too. I know that I have learned many things from different friends. Some have really taught me that there is so much more to life than work and that we must have fun!
I enjoy reading and writing and enjoy many types of music. I prefer to listen to Southern Gospel or Country, but there are days I might be listening to classical just for a change. The radio is usually on in the truck, but you never know what you might hear. Keeping life interesting is the challenge that I feel I meet everyday.
I hope that all of you will enjoy my writings from here on out and look for my work on several other sites as well as my own personal blog. I hope that this autobiography has shared an insight with all of you as to who I am.
