Do you want a national day in recognition of the good work of bankers?

There have, if we’re honest, been very few reasons to thank bankers in recent years.   In fact instead of thanking bankers it would be fairer to say that people were keener to form mobs and lynch them.

Bankers were walking away with huge payoffs, as the companies they left crumbled, crushing in their wake the savings, no to mention hopes and dreas of their customers.

However, it would seem that there is  reason to thank the bankers, and the economic crisis that they help create.  It would seem that the recession has caused the first drop in traffic congestion in a generate.  That’s right, every time you have a nice easy journey to the job centre, thank a banker.  Every time you have  shift trip on a bank holiday, guess what?  Its time to thank a banker.  Perhaps then its time to form the national banker day?  For allowing us to see the flaws of capitalism, and have free roads, truly we owe them thanks.

From this day on then, I suggest that September 15th be known as national banker day.  Perhaps we could go for a nice country drive on our uncongested roads.  Or enjoy one of the many free activities that we had to learn when we became unemployed.  Yes, a nice drive, or a walk in the park, or a cycle ride.  Who’s up for it? National banker day!

If you live in a house you could not pay 100% for , thank a banker.
If you could not pay for your car in full, thank a banker.
If you needed to borrow money for college, thank a banker
If you bought anything on a credit card, that you could not afford, thank a banker
