I’ll share to you who I think really needs the recognition.
You know there is this big issue going on my head for over years of thinking, why do the government, the common people and media recognizes actors and actresses more than our soldiers. Our soldiers have and will be fighting for our country for the rest of there lives, these soldiers suffer in the field experiencing great trauma, separation anxieties, improper treatment in the field and they experience poor conditions in the field of service while these actresses and actors who only build up fake muscles, cute smiles and horny magazines tend to get more of the recognition. I am an average student for your information and am not any type of soldier or anybody who wants to discriminate our actors and actresses, I only want to give our soldiers the treatment and recognition they need to get.
I as a Filipino has seen Manny Pacquiao getting promoted and honored in the army, well I’m completely against that see his getting more recognition for only fighting in a boxing ring and he still earns thousands of dollars or millions of pesos while these soldiers in the field of combat, of duty almost or even getting actually killed are only set aside no media type recognitions or million dollar offerings. How about Manny Pacquiao go to war and fight, let’s see how honorable he can be when he comes home without an arm or leg. See how we treat our soldiers, they not only suffer from war but they also suffer from discrimination here in my country, I as a kid wants to be a soldier but my parents would say that soldiers don’t get rich, they die and you’ll not be able to feel any compassion and soldiers are poor as what my parents would say but I want to prove them wrong. See even in other countries actors and actresses are given more recognition than our soldiers. Basketball games and concerts are being shown live in almost every main channel while the documentaries that are being showed or news being filmed on the field of combat can only be seen in news channels such as CNN and others and such war news only takes up a couple of minutes while celebrity news tends to get the most out of it, even in Yahoo, the news are also all about controversies, actors and actresses, the new movies, basketball games, TV shows and all sorts of stupid things. People now-a-days tend to forget who to honor, who saved us during the time of war and etc,. People don’t know how to show gratitude, even here in the Philippines, most soldiers are unrecognized, some who really helped and tried to save lives during the time of calamities were soldiers but the people who get recognized are showbiz people who shares they’re experiences which are so crappy! Or some politicians who tend to give some resources such as food, well how about these politicians go in the water and try to save a drowning child, they can’t even do that. The only thing they can do is to show that they are giving something which every other person can do! Hey president, where did my parent’s taxes go? On a piece of plastic with sardines and a cup of rice! Every people can do what these politicians did, but no body can do what our loyal soldiers did, brought there rubber boats, let almost every people on while they swim and drag the rubber boat to safety not even thinking that these soldiers can drown. They offered there lives, left there family, suffer great pain and all sorts of pressure but neither of us gave them the right recognition they needed.
