Ever wonder why some people wear their pants so low?

They walk around with their pants halfway down their thighs. If you’re standing right behind them on the escalator, their pant pockets are right at your eye level, when in fact, if they wore their pants like normal people, their pants pockets would be at the level of your forehead. Going up the escalator I was stuck admiring the pants pockets of one of them, which were in fact, directly in front of my eyes. Of course I continued to watch the young man who had his pants encircling his thighs as he walked off the escalator and out of the train station. I was left to wonder, as my eyes were glued to his pants, how his pants stayed up in the first place. To my knowledge, pants weren’t made to be worn like that. That was the style of prisoners, who were not given belts to hold up their pants, and who, subsequently, had to deal with pants turned thigh bracelets, and having to continuously pull up their pants with one hand.

This young man, who I so interestingly watched, only pulled up his pants once, the whole time I watched him. I wondered, How did he keep his pants up? Was he wearing suspenders? If that were my style, I think that’s what I would do. Perhaps he was wearing a belt. And why wear his pants like that in the first place, in a manner that was uncomfortable to look upon, and must be uncomfortable for him? His pants were so far down his thighs that he looked much shorter than he was, if one were only to look upon his pants. It looked like his knees weren’t where they were supposed to be. Perhaps he needed air down there? In which case, instead of wearing falling pants, said young man should try wearing a skirt. Surely he would look about the same as he did when I saw him… ridiculous.
