Why is it that you have a child, blink your eye, and they are graduating from High School? I remember back in my school days how everyone said to enjoy school cause it was one of the best parts of life. I thought they were crazy old people just babbling. Now I have been out of high school over 20 years and I can not believe how fast the time has gone by.

It seems like just yesterday I was sitting in High school making plans for the weekend football game or dance. Now, I am taking my children to the football games and dances. How did that happen?

We truly need to stop once in a while from all of the stress of life and just breath. Just look around. Just hug our children. Just embrace the scenery. Who know when we will be able to do it again?

My son turned 12 in July and it seems like yesterday when my husband and I brought him home from the hospital. Now, 3 of his grandparents have passed since he was born and I am really seeing what life is all about.

It has taken me almost 40 years to wake up and smell the coffee, but I finally did it. Life is about Love, friendship, family, hugs, kisses, rain, fresh flowers, laughter, snowballs, sun tans, beloved pets, lightning storms and ocean waves. These are some of the things in my life that make me feel most at peace. We all need to find these things.

The world is a tough place to be in, especially when your child grows up and moves away and you wonder what you will do with your time.

Cherish every minute with your kids and keep those memories close to your heart. They may make us crazy at times, but we wouldnt know what to do without them.

My son is my best friend and I hope your children are yours:)
