A Profound Question, Reproduction, Emotional Weakness, Fighting Fire with Fire, An Open Question?

As a woman I want to know the logical reason behind why we are so different, and yet so much alike? According to the Bible it is for reasons of a reproductive nature, but with the advance of science, it will soon be possible for creation to continue without male intervention, and input! Already eggs can be frozen and used at a later date. Eggs can be fertilised by a donor, in a clinical and scientific set up, rather than through the usual route of love-making between man and his life partner. It all seems so cold and calculated!

Yet conversely, we are the more sensitive, and emotionally weaker of the two sexes, (so we are lead to believe), and, when we cry over something that tugs at the heart strings we are told we are being over emotional, and that our hormones are out of sync. We are advised that men don’t cry, and that is something to do with their hormonal balance.

So what is it that sets the balance, what makes us emotional and irrational when arguing? Why can’t we stand our ground and fight fire with fire. What is it that upsets the balance, and makes us act out of character? There are so many questions I have on this subject, but to date I have not received an all encompassing answer. Is there anybody out there that can enlighten me?
