I had a dream that Triond will make me a millionaire. I am still dreaming..

I begin by stating my appreciation for Triond. Triond is a novel well thought and executed online money making platform. Just like any tool ever invented by man, the key is its proper application. My tragedy is I have a knack for breaking the rules simply because I find normal mundane and loftily because no one ever did the extraordinary by sticking to the rules.

It is for these reasons that I await a 21st century miracle-by my own standards- if it happens that Lwandaz Tales were to be a rooster here at Triond…

In Triond, quantity is King

The latest Triond challenge is a step in the other direction as it seeks to reward quality. Though a noble attempt, the measure of what constitutes quality still remains subjective as it based on the length of time readers spend on your article. Besides, if I got it right, it is very much like the previous monthly Triond specials and is therefore time barred.

Aiming for a slice of this challenge is a tricky one as although the money to be made per article is attractive, it might be quite a gamble dying to spin a killer article as the audience may simply not be so impressed while the time lost would be hard to recoup. Thus like any of the previous challenges, quantity remains king as you probably have a chance with 10 B+ articles rather than two A+ articles.

If you happen to be an online writer who has other money making online commitments and does Triond part time as I do, you probably know what a task it is to get it right in terms of quantity.

Triond is a scratch my back I scratch your back place

Every since I googled my pen name and top on the search results were some of my articles and more of my comments in other articles, I realized that mindless comments were a serious drain on my brand equity. Unfortunately, the communal nature of Triond behoves that to get comments on your article you almost have to invariably hop around articles dropping the same comment all through.

The thinking here is that your efforts will strike a guilt chord in the writer’s hearts and they will feel obligated to return the favour. Their guilt driven actions translating to a comment and clocking up the views. For personal brand conscious writers like me, this means we have to pay dearly for complicating this online writing affair too much. It even becomes worse when juggling too many balls as it could mean periods pass before you get to sit down and scratch back as by then they comments train has already left the station.

I do not want to make it big. I just want to make $3.00 a day from Triond.

If you think it is very hard to make it on Triond then it will be, why you want people to read your quality work but have no time for their crap is beyond me. Traffic from friends has to be repaid, its about favor exchange which you are in turn paid for by Google and other advertisers with Triond forming the go between. Quality is always subjective and that is why when Mario Vargas Llosa wins the Nobel prize for literature some people disapprove, the same would happen if Ngugi were to win the same and that is because those who pick quality are human.
Back to quality articles on Triond, there is no need of posting one article and disappearing for a month and coming back to expect 1000 dollars on your dashboard, this is a writing community and as far as everything is concerned, members of a community are supposed to support each other. You started well but along the way I must say you disappointed and should not cry foul. Who do you want to pick the best articles? How do you want them picked?

I have feeling I am seriously being misunderstood! First by the “Triond- Bot” that posts the articles in the various Triond sites ( i am not sure why this article landed here and redirecting every other article I write is just irresponsible by someone or something) and secondly by my good friends Jimmy and Yes Me….. I am just chancing upon a miracle.

Well said. I have more page views on bukisa but the ones I post there are already posted in triond. I did qualify from the other month’s challenges but it took me so much time. Now I just do articles I want to do and let it be a hit or miss. I too feel guilty if somebody comments that I track the commenter and read his/her articles. But I hope they do really read mine like I do to theirs,

i agree with Jimmy. members of a community do help each other. i may not like the scratch your back thing by the way you put it (lol), but yeah, it seems like that. but it’s not like that all the time. if you write good articles coupled with your knowledge of SEO, you might not need the community for the most part. but even then, a little help will still get you farther.
