This explains the importance of privacy in life and the negative effects of not respecting it.
What do you mean by privacy? One may say that it is the state of being alone or the state of being secure with no harm from anyone. Now, some may refute this statement, saying that that is no need for being private as they are not going to harm if they know their personal things.
However, this is not the truth. In privacy lies sacredness. Privacy is not for hiding your wrongdoings from people. It is the feeling of safety and protection one feels when one is at home, shielded from the rest of the world. Man is a social animal. True said, however, Man needs privacy as much as he needs being in company of other people. Now, when you respect someone in the true sense of the word, you do not try to invade the privacy of that person, no matter what.
There are some really perverse forms of psychological disorders such as “Exhibitionism, Voyeurism, wherein the people do not really respect others and harm their privacy and are against their own privacy. There are some cults like Naturalists who do not wear clothes as part of some beliefs, which again is a kind of psychological disorder.
Privacy is a form of self and other’s respect. Privacy is not hypocrisy, it is a healthy sign of respect and care.
So, peeping toms, you will have a hard time if you do not kick the habit.
