Some reasons of why Wikipedia is not good for information and other general things.

Wikipedia, the all talked about universal free encyclopedia is not what some people expect it to be. Have you ever asked yourself, who wrote that? When did they write it? and other informative questions? Well, these are just some examples of why Wikipedia is not always a reliable, accurate, and up to date source. For example, if you were doing a research about a war, you would obviously just type in the wars name into Google or Yahoo search or www.com or whatever search engine you have and you would click the first link. Now for example if Wikipedia is the first thing that appears you click on it and you see that the war you’re doing a research on started in 1991, reached its prime in 1996, and ended in 2000. Now, at the Wiki page,it says this and this person was Missing In Action and is probably dead, 6 years later they figure out that he took on a fake identity, lived at the war country for 2 years and is now living in the United States or Canada or whatever county he’s from and he is in exellent shape, nothing happened to him and he lives peacefully. Now imagine if you were doing a military account of missing people in the past 40 years and they count him as missing and not as found and a citizen. If this happens at every other person the people might think that joining the U.S. Marines is risky because so many people are lost and never found and there goes another person who might have thought of fighting for the U.S. and if this happens at every tenth person and on and on there is a big general affect on our world. Now you must be thinking “The idiot who thinks that a military account done by a person who looks at Wikipedia affects our world must be a dumbass” but in reality everything we do affects our world if lots of people do it. For example, there is a story that a poor family arranged a wedding for their daughter and since they couldn’t afford wine they told every one that they should bring as much as they drink and pour it into a barrel and they shall drink from that and be merry but one guy thought that “hey if i’m the only one who doesn’t bring wine and i pour water in the barrel it will not even be noticed and no one will know” but in reality every one of them thought that and when the wedding came they had only plain water to drink and it was a disaster. By now i think i have explained enough how a little change makes a big difference. In all i am leaving with you two thoughts, why Wikipedia is not good, and how a little change makes a big difference.
