This guide will teach you how to write a Shakespearean Sonnet.

A shakespearean sonnet is the kind of sonnet William Shakespeare often wrote.  A Shakespearean Sonnet consists of 14 lines. Each line must be 10 syllables.  The pattern for the 14 lines is: ABAB CDCD EFEF GG.  When there are repeated letters, that means each will have atleast the last word rhyme (e.g. A and A will rhyme, B and B will rhyme, etc.).  The lines ABAB should establish the introduction to a short sotry.  The lines CDCD and EFEF should establish a problem to the story.  The lines GG should resolve the problem. Just follow these instructions and you should be able to write a Shakesperean Sonnet in no time!
