We should all be allowed our day in a Court of Law, but unfortunately in my case I can’t find the person who is wrongly accusing me.

Wrongly Accused

When Writers get well known, the various Search Engines that we all use to search for people, places, or things pick up everything about us, be that good or bad. In some ways that’s great, and in other ways it’s very bad, and can ruin a person’s reputation in a hurry. Being wrongly accused of something is bad, but not being able to bring someone to justice for libel is even worse. This is happening to me. Though I don’t need to explain myself to anyone, being labeled a Stalker, and not being able to take that person to court is getting to be a bit much, and very frustrating.

Several years ago, I worked for a site like Ask.com. My job, was to answer questions for people who wrote into this site and in doing so, I met a woman and fellow writer. She wanted my assistance in helping her to set up a website to help other writers for free. We exchanged emails, and in one of her emails to me, she told me that she was from England, and that she’d been raped, but thanks to the Internet, she met someone in the States, and he paid for her to leave England. In response to her telling me she was raped, I told her that while I hadn’t been raped, I did have a terrible up bringing. Living in foster homes most of my childhood. And so it went.

A few months went by, and I found out that she didn’t have good intentions, and that I’d wasted several weeks in writing what was to be included on this website that we were supposed to be going to be partners on. She was far smarter than she let on, and I was angry that all of a sudden she was dumping me, and taking what I wrote for her new website. I sent her a very nasty letter, which she didn’t respond to. What she did do was probably the worst thing that anyone can do to anyone. She labeled me a Stalker.

When I found out, I contacted the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and complained. They in turn told me that they couldn’t do anything about it because this woman lived in the States. They did however suggest two things. And I did both. One was to contact the Internet Police, and the other was to contact the State Police in North Carolina, where she lived. The Internet Police couldn’t help me, so I did contacted the State Police, in North Carolina, but they couldn’t do anything either because I didn’t have any way to contact her except her email address. They did do me a big favor though, they sent me a link that they use to find people, but and unfortunately the link they sent to me was of no use.
