I knew the economy was hurting people at all levels in some way, but there I was, doing my part for other websites in exchange for some quality traffic and what do I find? There’s your average, everyday, run of the mill “let me sell you my Internet Success kit…for free…” websites by the dozens. There are a handful of interesting blogs, or ads for some nice, sometimes very unique gift items and on-line stores. Now and then, I get the chance to view something inspirational or just plain entertaining. You could have knocked me over with a feather when I saw Donald Trump though! There he was selling his “latest opportunity”! I quickly thought to myself, “Since when does he need to use traffic exchange sites?” Yes, yes, I know…there are sites out there that use a face or name/logo which is not in anyway connected with them. I’m quick to pass those over myself, knowing it’s a gimmick. This one fully appeared to be a site by the Trump himself, complete with a video of him talking about his “great opportunity” (if it was a paid actor he probably wasn’t getting paid enough for that caliber of work)!
We all know that the economy in this country, and world wide as well, has been suffering tremendously for some time now. That’s not news. Most of us have been keeping an eye on these things and wondering when it really is going to start getting better. Most of us have felt the crunch and a few of us relate that we couldn’t tell much difference (which is a sad, but true fact in some cases). When the Trump man himself is using a free traffic exchange, it’s a real eye opener!
I grant you, that maybe it’s just that he feels it good business practice and an economical way to do things. Still, it had me reeling. The “Trumpster”? With all his money? Doing things economically? Well, why not? I’m intrigued by the option he is proposing, and wondering about it. Is it a scam? Is this really a great financial opportunity? Is this just another way for Mr. Trump to make himself more money? Why go to the “little guy” with such an opportunity now, after all the years of making his money with what our generation will someday call “the old fashioned way”? Is the economy so bad that it just isn’t working any more? Was Donald Trump left out of the great “Stimulus” plan? Maybe, this is part of it, and maybe this is what they meant by “transparency”?
If a guy like Donald Trump is going to a free traffic exchange with a “let me sell you my great opportunity” pitch, in a day and time when people like Bernie Maddoff are being, pretty much, sizzled for scamming (as they should be, in my mind) and the Dow can’t decide whether it’s going to rise or fall from one minute to the next, while the government keeps pumping out tax money to places we tax payers don’t always know about…then what is our world really coming to? I know that the media has been fond of using the word “recession” since before our government would even dare to utter it themselves, but I’m daring to cross the line here into what I’m sure is some form of government/media blasphemy, and call the cards I see a global economic depression.
I am able to shed a small ray of hope on the matter, however. When you’ve really reached the bottom of the barrel (economically speaking here), you are left with only two options. One is that you could pick the barrel up and scrape off what ever is on the bottom, and the other is that you can, no matter how tough or how slow, work your way back up out of the barrel. Maybe Mr. Trump is giving us a hand with that. I wonder, since he is resorting to using a free traffic exchange to get free traffic, could he give us that hand for free? Probably not, but hey, it was worth asking.
One more thing to make note of: I am in no way, associated with Donald Trump or any of Mr. Trumps companies, affiliates, or such, that I am aware of. This article is simply a result of my thoughts processing while doing my daily routine.
